Why I Like It

Meshtastic is one of the more interesting developments in off-grid comms in recent years — a decentralized, LoRa-based mesh network that lets devices relay messages across long distances without cell or internet infrastructure. The Seeed T1000-E is a compact, capable tracker and node in that ecosystem, and if you’re running it in the field, you need a mount that keeps it accessible without babysitting it.

This holster is designed specifically for the T1000-E form factor — not a generic “fits most” compromise. It’s a snug, secure fit that holds the device without play, and the MOLLE mount integrates cleanly with a plate carrier, bag panel, or chest rig. The clip retention is firm enough that it won’t pop off during movement, but releases cleanly when you reach for it.

For print settings, PETG at 45% infill is sufficient — the T1000-E is light enough that you don’t need the structural overhead of ABS. If you’re running this in direct sun for extended periods (field ops, hiking), step up to ASA to prevent the material from softening and loosening the fit. Print the snap tab carefully: it’s a thin section that handles repeated flex, so 5 perimeter walls there will give it longevity. A great functional print for the LoRa/Meshtastic community.

What Filament Should You Use?

Here’s a quick breakdown of the three most common filaments for EDC gear so you can pick the right one for your setup:
