Video Overview
Gear43 is handing out bifold wallet awards for 2026. The host says the channel keeps more than 150 wallets, and many of those came from the brands. This video gives 10 awards, then names the one bifold Gear43 still reaches for. The cuts cover a compact leather wallet, a handcrafted traditional bifold, a MagSafe pop-up, a passport wallet, an RFID leather bifold, a vegan billfold, a metal pop-up, a coin sleeve, a carbon-fiber wallet, and a G-fold with a money clip. Gear43 calls this a men’s bifold awards video. Thanks to Gear43 for turning a huge wallet pile into awards you can compare.

Editor’s Insight
Gear43 opens with the wallet the host would actually carry. Best minimalist, and later best overall, is the Double Oak Cloud Wallet in leather. This version landed a couple of months ago. Gear43 says it holds up to 10 bills and seven cards. Two cards sit up front, a pull tab reaches more in the back, and cash lives behind a left flap. Magnets close it. The host has tried a lot of minimalist bifolds and still has not found one that hides in a back pocket this well. That only works if the wallet stays thin once it is loaded.
The handcrafted award is a different job. It goes to the NAB Leather full-grain wallet, made by hand in Canada from one piece of leather. The name says minimalist. Gear43 says do not believe that. Six cards sit up front, more fit inside, and the cash area is real. The host likes the smell and the unsealed leather that will mark and patina. Cards are easier to reach than in a standard bifold. The downside is size. Gear43 calls it big for the capacity. Want a workshop piece, take this. Want it to disappear, go back to the Cloud.
Two pop-up bifolds share one problem: bulk. The MagSafe award is the Double Oak pop-up. Three cards live in the leather and seven live in an aluminum holder you can pull off and stick to a phone. The best pop-up award is the Ekster Wallet Pro, which Gear43 calls the latest of three tries from that brand. A metal ejector sends up to seven cards out evenly, two more sit in the leather, and bills fold twice behind them. A new button strap holds it shut. Gear43 likes the strap and still says both wallets are thick. Pick one only if you want the pop and you can live with the pocket bulge.
Travel is where Gear43 tells you to skip leather. The Peak Design Passport Wallet is ripstop. An elastic band holds a passport, the left side holds up to eight cards, and the back holds up to 15 bills. A second passport can ride outside. Magnets keep it shut. Leather would add bulk here. The vegan award is the daily version of that idea, the Peak Design Everyday Billfold. Gear43 says it holds 12 cards in elastic slots and up to 15 bills, and the fabric feels better than fake leather. The elastic slots can fold in, so a card does not always slide in clean.
The leather award is the Harber London RFID Legacy Bifold. It is larger than the Cloud on purpose. Gear43 says it holds up to 18 cards, with a pull tab for the back stack, plus cash and room for keys or coins. Magnets close it. Gear43’s description repeats the Peak Design travel link on this line, so the link here goes to the Harber London page. That page is taking pre-orders, so the cart may not ship right away.
The last three awards fit a habit, not everyone. The RE:FORM RE:01 Coin Sleeve holds up to six cards and gives the other half to a coin sleeve you open by pinching the wallet. It can hold an AirTag. Gear43 likes how it works and does not like how it looks. The COLDFIRE Flex One stays small, but the bendable carbon fiber and kangaroo leather do not feel finished to Gear43 without a hard clear coat. The Motto Carpe Diem G fold Ultra has four easy card slots, a hidden cash slot, an ejector, an SD slot, and a metal money clip. The Italian Epsom leather feels harder than most people want. A MagSafe expander can come off. The maker page may show it sold out, so do not assume the cart is open.
Of the 10, Gear43 still reaches for the Double Oak Cloud Wallet. Thanks again to Gear43 for naming a favorite instead of stopping at a list.
Closing Remarks
Watch Gear43’s bifold wallet awards before you buy from a list of names. The video shows why the Double Oak Cloud Wallet wins best overall, and why the other nine awards exist for a different pocket. The links above go to the wallets Gear43 named. The Harber London page is on pre-order, and the Motto Carpe Diem page may show sold out. Hit play, then decide which award matches how you actually carry cards, cash, and coins. A wallet that only wins a category is not the one that stays in the pocket.
