Video Overview

Jon Gadget lays out the sling system he actually uses in 2026. His pocket still holds a Victorinox Compact, a RovyVon A8, and his phone. The sling starts when the day runs longer than a local errand. A Bellroy Venture Ready Sling covers the short trips. A Rework Toshi covers the full days, including a train run into London and back. He shows the small bag first, then moves the same core kit into the larger sling and adds only what a longer day needs. SUPCASE sponsors this video. Thanks to Jon Gadget for packing both bags on camera and walking the contents, not just the empty shells.

Editor’s Insight

Thanks again to Jon Gadget for treating this as a working system, not a pile of new buys. The useful idea is the split. One sling is for a short day. The other is for a long one. He stopped asking the larger Rework Toshi to do both jobs. Pocket carry stays pocket carry: the Compact, the A8, and the phone. The wallet pouch from his last video drops into whichever sling he grabs. This description does not add a product link for that pouch, so it is not in the list above.

The short-trip bag is the Bellroy Venture Ready Sling 2.5L. Jon says the real volume feels closer to a liter and a half. The shell is water-resistant Baida nylon with PU-coated zippers. He calls it fine for a shower and a poor choice for heavy rain. The strap anchors front and back, so a full bag compresses instead of sagging. A magnetic buckle opens only when the halves push opposite ways. Jon likes looping it around a chair leg, and he wears the sling in front in a crowd because that same buckle is a grab risk on his back. AirPods Pro 3 sit in a Venture Pod Jacket. Keys stay on a leash. The main compartment takes the notebook, the pen, a slim power bank, a packable Nanobag, and a Buff. He keeps the phone out of the bag. Wipes sit in the flat sleeve meant for a phone. His older midnight sling is no longer sold. The newer one is lighter, and the zipper will not bend open at the top.

The long-day bag is the Rework Toshi V2, in 5L and 6L. Jon already reviewed the 5L, so this video stays on what changes the load. He moves most of the Bellroy kit over, leaves the 5,000 mAh bank in the small sling, and puts a 10,000 mAh Ugreen MagFlow in the Toshi. The bank in the bag does 15 watts wireless and 30 watts wired. The description link opens a newer MagFlow that looks the same and is listed at 25 watts wireless and 45 watts wired. This post links that newer listing, because that is the page the description opens. The 6L is the same shape with more room. A bottle and an umbrella fit up front, and Jon still has space for the camera he wants on longer trips. Both Rework product pages were sold out when this post was written. The links still go to those product pages, not to a stand-in bag.

The 5,000 mAh bank he calls his go-to is the Vonmählen Evergreen Mag. He also links an Ugreen Magflow Air and an Anker Nano at the same capacity, and this list keeps all three. The cable in the front pouch is the Ugreen retractable USB-C lead the description opens. The glasses drivers are the Victorinox corkscrew mini-tool set that link lands on. The bidet is the CuloClean Ultralight Desert. Two other description links do not name one product. The Belkin Apple Watch dock link and the Knirps umbrella link both open a search, so they are not in the list. The transcript calls the umbrella by a different name. This post does not pick a model from that search. Spare glasses, a Sharpie, tape, and a micro towel show up with no product URL, so they stay out of the list too.

Closing Remarks

Watch Jon Gadget pack both slings before you copy the list. The short-trip bag is the Bellroy Venture Ready Sling. The long-day bag is the Rework Toshi, and the 6L is the one with room left for a camera. The links above follow the description. The MagFlow link points at the newer 10,000 mAh listing he calls out, not at a different brand. Rework listed both Toshi sizes as sold out when this post was written, so treat those two links as the product pages, not as a promise of stock. Hit play, then say which sling you would actually leave the house with.
