This is the stuff that I usually have in my pockets. L to R:
Keys: keys + an older, silver version of this Victorinox tool. I was given this little multi-tool many years ago, and if I were to look at all of the things I own and graph their usefulness against their price over time, this little tool would score so well. It’s so handy. I also have a bottle-opener I got for free at a computer thing.
Coins: 1 x $2, 1 x $1, 1 x 50c, 2 x 20c, 1 x 10c, 1 x 5c. I can make any amount of money from $0.05 to $4.05. People like it when you have the right amount of change.
Wallet: Colorado, black, leather. Always has my plastics (debit card, license, etc), occasionally has money.
Notebook and Pen: Oh my god, I cannot put into words how awesome I think Field Note notebooks are. I also carry a Bic Fine-Tip ball-point pen with me. A while ago, I found my favourite pen in the whole world and bought boxes of them.
iPhone: 16GB iPhone 3G.
