Video Overview
Big thanks to Jon Gadget for waiting until a 91mm clip actually works. In The Victorinox Pocket Clip You Have Been Waiting For, he fits the Lamprey 91 to the Compact he has carried for years. No tools. No scale swap. It clicks on, and it comes off. The video is not sponsored. He got samples just before the Kickstarter. He is clear that prices in the video will move.

Editor’s Insight
Jon Gadget only builds a whole video around one product when he thinks it is special. This is that video. His everyday knife is a 91mm Victorinox Compact. The missing piece, on that knife and on most 91mm models, is a pocket clip. He has been hanging it on a KeySmart hanger for years. The Lamprey 91 is the aftermarket clip he thinks retires that hanger.
Tortoise Gear makes it in the USA. They already make the Firefly and Fire Ant starters he carries in the Compact. The clip is machined stainless, under 4 grams, with a back thin enough to slide under the scales. He thought he would need a blade tip to start it. The clip itself was thin enough. You hold the knife tight, push, hook the middle rivet, and rotate until the top rivet clicks. The same three rivets sit in the same place on current 91mm knives, which is why one clip can cover the line.
He checks the gap, because forcing steel under the scale could lift it. A new Climber with silver scales shows no gap. An old Super Tinker shows no gap. His Compact, old and new, shows a small gap. He blames the plus scales and the closed toothpick slot, not a loose rivet. Pulling on the clip loads the rivet heads, not the scale. He has not seen a scale come off. He still flags the plus-scale gap so you are not surprised.
In the pocket it is deep carry, with spring that handles a jeans belt and does not fight a lighter fabric. It stays out of the blade and the scale tools. A cutaway takes his Victorinox mini lanyard and also drives a 4mm bit well enough that he may carry a couple of bits. You can leave it removable, which he prefers, or bend one of three tapered pins to lock it for good. He would rather click it off.
He mentions the Swiss Clip as the main rival and calls those options compromised. The Lamprey is the one he would buy for any current 91mm. Polished will be the common finish. A matte blued copper version depends on a stretch goal. This is a Kickstarter, so the listing can change. If you want the clip, start there. The Compact and Climber links are the knives he used to show the fit, not a requirement to buy a new knife.
Closing Remarks
Watch Jon Gadget install the Lamprey 91 before you back it. The useful part is the rivet click and the plus-scale gap, not the QR code. If you carry a 91mm, tell us whether this replaces a lanyard or a hanger, or whether you would leave the knife clipless. The Kickstarter is the place to check the finish you actually want.
